Attention Blog Readers

I'm officially lowering my commitment to this blog, for obvious reasons. I will keep up the First Impact posts as long as I have submissions, and I'll post other things when I've got the time/inclination. But I need to give myself the freedom to back off my M/W/F schedule.

The new official schedule is "One to Three Times a Week and If I Miss a Week I'm Sorry." I highly recommend the RSS feed or an e-mail subscription if you are one of those who still checks websites on specific days.

I don't even need to read the comments to know you understand. I know you guys, and you are AWESOME. Three posts a week isn't even really hectic, but it does weigh on me as One More Thing. And when I've got too many Things weighing on me, the harder-but-more-important ones (like writing or playing games with my kids) get skipped.

And yes, playing games with my kids is hard. They have no attention span, so I have to triple mine to compensate.

I recently dropped my blogging days from three to two. I love blogging, but it feels great waking up Friday mornings, knowing I get to write and not blog. My kids only have half days at school on Fridays, so now I don't miss out on my writing.

You do what you gotta do, and you do it well.

I'll missing reading as many posts, but if it means I get to read a book, I'll take it!

I love your mirror pix!! And I'm not even a gamer, but I have people I love who are, so... I have to respect it. LOL!

i'm kind of jealous. I try to do my week's worth of blog posts on sunday, but i notice if i don't get one done, it tends to not get done, so i totally know how you feel.
Enjoy the extra free time!

I can confirm that playing games with Adam's kids is hard. They're either picking up bits they aren't supposed do because they have the attention span of gnats or launching fiendish attacks with that bishop that you'd totally neglected to account for because you're playing chess with a 6 year old, for crying out loud, how can I lose to him?!

Did you see what I wrote at YA Confidential on Monday?

Interesting timing, to say the least.

Anyway, we love you, and we love your blog, but if it comes down to:

a) reading your blog posts

OR

b) reading your books and playing games you helped design?

I think we can all agree it's got to be B. No question.
