I don't schedule my blog either. I just try to post at least once a week. But I do notice when a blog hasn't posted for a week or two. For people that I skim to see which posts I want to read, I see what they've posted most recently and read that (or skip). If someone goes a long time without posting, they tend to drop off my radar. Before I started the schedule, I was all over the place, forgetting to blog, coming back to comments really late, missing other people's posts.
