LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL THAT IS!

Actually I've always used two spaces for drafts, because it's easier to see the length of sentences, and then a global one-space replace to tighten it up.

So thanks for the correction, but boy, for one day there I felt all my two-space faith was rewarded.Steve MChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15026970188928733645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4665052536053897386.post-74120816261580431372018-04-03T06:52:36.159+07:002018-04-03T06:52:36.159+07:00I don't know how it said two spaces after a pe...I don't know how it said two spaces after a period up there. I feel so vindicated.

And I can definitely vouch for consistency - if I read a book that says steppingstone in one paragraph, and stepping stone in the next, or has thoughts in italics on one page, and not the next, I want to throw it at its author and say, "Make up your mind! Choose a rule and stick with it."

As for editing questions, I definitely have a few. Like in a first person novel can I start a non-dialogue sentence with 'Cause? 'Cause I tend to do that. Because "Because" seems a bit too formal at times. I've seen it used that way a couple times, but a friend got all formal on me about it.
Steve MChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15026970188928733645noreply@blogger.com
