You guys are awesome. I was all worried Wednesday's post would get nasty for some reason (even though I know you guys; who would be nasty?). Thank you to everyone who shared, to everyone who wasn't mean, and to everyone who is still reading this blog even after learning that I hear voices and indoctrinate my children. I have the best readers in the world.

So we've had the small talk. We've had the deep conversation. All that's left now is to collectively answer the most important issues facing the world today, via online poll.

If at any point you don't see an option you like, feel free to expound in the comments. (Although I intentionally limited the options so you'd have to choose. Mwa-ha-ha!). The first poll is for me. The rest are for the world.

Note: if you're on Reader or e-mail, you'll have to click through for the polls.

UPDATE: There may be some problems with voting. Try voting anyway, and with luck they'll sort themselves out. Otherwise, uh...have a nice weekend I guess.

And here you thought today was going to be even harder than Wednesday. (Heck, maybe it was. Choosing between Picard and New Kirk? That's like asking me to choose my left or right eyeball.)

  1. I enjoy all your posts! I do like to see your drawings, but I voted for a ton of other things too which didn't show up.

Oh, and I voted for Picard and it came up Chris Pine. Meh.

  2. We have some voting irregularities above, so I'll list my choices here: drawing, Q&A, writing tips (although I really wanted to mark "all of the above"), Pirates, Bad, 1, Pine, Good.

Also: I need to figure out how to do a poll, but this is cool. I like to vote. :)

  3. Strange. I don't know what's up with the first poll. Hopefully it'll sort itself out, cuz I'm not sure there's anything I can do about it.

As for Picard, I've got one vote for him, so I guess that worked?

  4. Same here, I voted for everything except contests on the first one. (I don't know, contests just bore me.)

And I only voted for Chris Pine because he's cute. The old Star Treks as a whole are the best...

Thanks for doing this this week. It was fun!

  5. It WAS like choosing between my left or right eyeball. Thanks a lot, Adam.

  6. I just have a couple quick questions. How did Picard get a single vote and why was it even a question? Star Trek wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the Shatner. In Pirates vs. Ninjas is it a question of who would win in a fight or who would you rather be (obviously there are two different answers depending on the heart of the question)? Movie reboots are good because you talk and rail about them even more if they turn out bad (Episodes 1,2, and 3). Are they actually good? sometimes. Am I glad that they happen? Almost always.

  7. couldn't vote so answer to #1 = geekery and writing tips (especially looking into your process).

    Kirk/Shatner!!! "We've got ... to help him!"

    # of spaces after period : I voted 2, but for text/tweet its 1.

Movie Reboots suck. Emmet makes the best points in their defense, but no, they suck.

I did Pir/Nin as "what do I want to be" and there is no better occupation anywhere in the world than Pirate! I've even considered moving to Somaia, but I sent them my resume and they turned me down.

E-Books are good, but I don't own any yet. If I had enough time to do the reading that I want to do, I'd own a Kindle or an iPad without question.

  8. For some strange reason my comment never appeared on Wednesday. Oh well, but I'll be back.

I like your blog because of the variety of topics and the sense of humour you display in the posts.

  9. I'm seeing 6 votes for Picard at the moment, so I think it's working. Except for the first poll, maybe. I don't know what's up with that one. Thanks to those of you who clarified :-)
